William Weld was unanimously endorsed by the RLC National Board in March of 2006 and confirmed by New York RLC Executive Officers as a leading advocate of individual rights, limited government, and private enterprise.
** Weld withdrew from the race after a 22-point victory among delegates to the GOP Convention in favor of John Faso. The RLC News Release encouraged Weld to run, but we join him in our admiration for the Faso campaign.
Weld concurrently withdrew from the Libertarian Party effort to qualify him on their party line.
