First Principles: Restoring the Republic

   In the wake of the GOP National Convention two weeks earlier, the RLC will hold its 8th biennial National Convention the weekend of September 12-14th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Detroit Airport. 
    Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, an outspoken opponent of the War on Drugs and a prominent advocate of individual liberty, will be among our featured speakers, joined by the President of Americans for Tax Reform, Grover Norquist. Texas Representative Ron Paul was, but had a scheduling conflict.
    The Convention Committee has invited many prominent liberty stars to participate in panels, debates, and seminars. RLC advisors and state legislators are expected to be in attendance.

 Candidates Endorsed
   The RLC National Board of Directors has endorsed dozens of candidates around the country. A complete list will be announced after RLC chartered states have completed their review of federal candidates. RLC rules require charters to approve federal office endorsements.
    Already approved are endorsements for Representatives Ron Paul -TX (who won his primary and is unopposed in the general election) and Jeff Flake - AZ, as well as Dr. Murray Sabrin for U.S. Senate in New Jersey.
