New RLC Website

New Image ... Same Principles

After years of good intentions and some valiant efforts, a small group of RLC netizens have installed a new public image for the Caucus. Powered by Wordpress, the new site with the same domain name [RLC.org] will be operating on a dedicated server managed by Webmaster Steve Redlich of California. Georgia RLC Chairman Chris Farris did the design work and configuration. RLC Chapter Director Aaron Biterman provided most of the news items and page transfers.
The site includes an integrated blog, author privileges, and other features for members and visitors. Some web functions will remain at the old site, which can still be accessed at the "long name" or RLCUSA-PAC site.
Members who would like to contribute news or features should contact the RLC Webmaster

Heir of the Goldwater Conscience

The RLC has always had a strong affinity to the ideals of Barry Goldwater, Sr., who inspired our Liberty Compact candidate statement with his speech at the 1964 GOP Convention. His son, AuH2O Junior, is now an official member of the RLC and has agreed to join its Advisory Board. Barry served as an Arizona Representative in Congress from 1969 to 1983 and is a Director of the free-market Goldwater Institute.
Goldwater Jr. was the first celebrated political figure to endorse former RLC Honorary Chairman Ron Paul in his run for the GOP Presidential nomination.
The RLC slogan "Conscience of the Republican Party" is an allusion to Goldwater's book, which described many of the RLC's ideals and objectives.

RLC Official Business Notice
The RLC Board of Directors has authorized several Bylaw changes for consideration by delegates at the National Convention in Detroit this September.
Delegates must be notified of any proposals at least 60 days in advance, so visit the official business page for details on the proposals. If you wish to submit any proposal for Convention consideration, it must be sent to the RLC National Board - or any Director - before July 12.
Note that there are many openings for national officer positions. If you are interested, contact any officer.

State Chapters Expand
RLC members in Arizona, Connecticut, North Carolina, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin should contact their state Coordinators promptly if they want to help charter their states (and get an honorary "Charter Member" status).
These and many other states are gaining many new members in the aftermath of the Ron Paul campaign and local activism. Join the state RLC Yahoo! eGroup to get the latest reports on activities. Simply send a blank email to: RLCxx-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
